Japanese-French cafe Kumoya said in a Facebook post on Monday (Jan 29) that there has been a "delay" in renewing its halal certificate.
The post said: "It's under process from MUIS and so from Feb 1 (hopefully not for long) Kumoya is temporarily without a halal certificate.
"It's business as usual and you'll still be served our delicious fare prepared by our team of Muslim colleagues."
Kumoya is scheduled to host a Care Bears-themed pop-up on from Feb 1 to Mar 31, with a special menu ranging from The Seafood Chowder You'll Love-a-Lot! (S$28.90) to Rainbow Garden strawberry parfait (S$18.90). It is currently closed until then for "retrofitting", according to an earlier Facebook post.
