Halal hotel restaurant Santaro by Gion is headed by one of the city's masters of Japanese cuisine, Chef Santaro Li.

Previously at the helm of Hinoki Japanese Dining, Chef Santaro offers three omakase set menus - seafood ($56), beef ($68) and lobster ($88 for two) which all come with plates of sashimi.

Santaro by Gion private tatami room

The main space can fit up to 30 people, while the private tatami rooms can fit from four to 12 diners with minimum spending.
